Why are social skills groups important and effective?

group therapy teen boys

Groups allow kids to discover that others have similar concerns, challenges, and feelings. Groups can provide positive reinforcement, encouragement, and interaction through open discussion, games, feedback, and friendship. Parents can be given helpful insight by meeting with each other once a month, and a community of support is present for you and your child.
